Kelly Clarkson is pressing pause her Studio Sessions residency in Las Vegas to be with family.
The 3x Grammy winner announced Wednesday that she’s postponing the remainder of her August dates playing the Colosseum at Caesars Palace amid her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s illness.
“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” she shared in a statement on social media.
“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” added Clarkson. “I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”
With four more scheduled dates in August to be postponed, Clarkson’s next Studio Sessions performance is set for Nov. 7.
Clarkson previously postponed the July 4 and 5 opening dates of Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions to protect her vocal cords from “serious damage” after overdoing it in rehearsals.
Aside from her residency, The Kelly Clarkson Show host will soon debut four-part special Songs & Stories with Kelly Clarkson, set to arrive on NBC on Aug. 19, Aug. 26, Sept. 2 and Sept. 9 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The special features conversations with Gloria Estefan, Jonas Brothers, Lizzo and Teddy Swims.
