EXCLUSIVE: ABC‘s Will Trent has promoted Kevin Daniels to series regular for Season 4, set to premiere in 2026. Production is slated to begin in August.
For three seasons, viewers have gotten to know Atlanta police Detective Franklin Wilks (Daniels) as Angie’s (Erika Christensen) AA sponsor and a steady presence in the always-busy police bullpen. Now, Will Trent fans will get to know Franklin further as he takes on a more active role in their cases and stories.
Based on Karin Slaughter’s New York Times bestselling “Will Trent” book series, Special Agent Will Trent (Ramón Rodríguez) of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was abandoned at birth. He endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system, alongside his on-and-off again love interest, Angie. Now, Will uses his unique point of view in the pursuit of justice and has the highest clearance rate in the GBI.
In addition to Rodríguez, Christensen, and Daniels, the series stars Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood, with Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner.
