‘Kill Jackie’ Casts Daniel Ings with Catherine Zeta-Jones

The Gentlemen star Daniel Ings has joined Catherine Zeta-Jones in Prime Video, Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures‘ Kill Jackie, which has rounded out cast.

Ings will play buttoned-up lawyer Sam in the thriller series, which is an adaptation of Aidan Truhen‘s “gonzo thriller” The Price You Pay.

Ings is joined by Sidse Babett Knudsen (Prime Target, Borgen), Óscar Jaenada (Rambo V, Cantinflas), Hattie Hook (Of An Age, Ten Pound Poms), Darci Shaw (A Thousand Blows, This City is Ours), Raff Law (Masters of The Air, Triton), Enzo Cilenti (Black Mirror, The Crown), Christine Adams (Hijack, Malice), Julian Rhind-Tutt (Britannia, Napoleon), Karlis Arnolds Avots (Soviet Jeans, Lovable), Set Sjöstrand (The Wheel of Time, Valhalla), Tadashi Ito (Society of the Snow, The Platform 2),Sebastian Armesto (Gangs of London, A Small Light), Julian Barratt (The Mighty Boosh, The Great), Gavin Spokes (House of The Dragon, Slow Horses), Jonathan Cake (And Just Like That, Camping), Bamshad Abedi-Amin (A Town Called Malice, The Last Kingdom), and Bill Paterson(Fleabag, Criminal Justice).

In Kill Jackie, the creative team have switched the gender from Truhen’s novel and Zeta-Jones plays the titular lead Jackie Price. Having lived a wealthy, luxurious existence for the last 20 years, her life takes a sudden lethal turn when she discovers The Seven Demons, a squad of the world’s most terrifying hitmen, have been hired to kill her. Shooting started last month in Bilbao, Lisbon, London and Swansea.

Ings earned plaudits for his role as lead Edward Horniman’s oafish brother Freddy in Netflix smash The Gentlemen. Past credits include I Hate Suzie and Lovesick.

The series will be available on Prime Video in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Canada in 2026. Fremantle will handle sales in all territories bar the U.S., which will be managed by Steel Springs Pictures.

The eight-part show is co-produced by Fremantle and Steel Springs. EPs are Peter Lawson and Jose Augustin Valdes for Steel Springs, Dante Di Loreto, Jeffrey Levine, Tom Butterworth, Damon Thomas and Zeta-Jones. The lead director is Damon Thomas (Killing Eve) and Dawn Shadforth (I Hate SuzieAdult Material) directs block two. The writer and showrunner is Butterworth. Conor Keane created and co-wrote the TV adaptation and is associate producer. José Luis Escolar’s Deabru Kalea Filmeak is supervising production in Bizkaia.  

Ings is repped by United Agents in the UK, ColorCreative in the US and his legal rep is Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
