Chance rappers know that their family is sacred.
That’s why the “no problem” rapper believes in the most challenging part of going through divorce from his marginalized wife Kirsten Corey, who shares five with his daughter Kenzli (9 years old) – adapts to a new, supportive dynamic.
“The reality is that everyone is dealing with something different from their family,” Chance explained during his appearance on the new Rory & Mal Podcast on August 14th. “The family I came from is very close. It’s very important for us, her and her family that we’re tight. So we’re still traveling together. We’re still family forever.
However, the 32-year-old pointed out that after five years of marriage, the former couple, who announced their breakup in April 2024, found out how to spend time together for their children.
“I’m not going to act like it’s not difficult,” Chance admitted. “I’m not going to act like it’s perfect and we waved and soaked it. It’s weird. I think toughness is real. I think that’s the toughest part.”
