Christine Cavalari & Mark Esthes
One thing that isn’t written? Christine is how she felt about the 13-year-old gap with her ex-boyfriend Mark Estes.
“At 24 I’m not what I was looking for,” the Hills alumni said on a March 2024 episode of her podcast Lets. “That’s not what I think will happen before. If you’re listening to the podcast, I think a 30-year-old is too young for me.”
And while Christine said she understands that “it looks like the outside world,” she insists that Mark “is not a typical 24 year old” and that there are some people who are older than her birth date.
“I think age is just a number,” she continued. “It’s what you’ve experienced in your life, how you grew up. There are so many factors that make you mature outside of your age.”
However, a few months later, Christine shared that she had broken up with Mark.
“I know in the long term that he needs to experience life,” she said on an October episode of the podcast. “He’s young. He’s so. I started to feel a bit older just from life experiences. I look back when I was 24 and look back at how much life happened for me in the meantime. They are important years. They are formative years.
Still, she called their romance the “best relationship” of her life, expressing her hope that Mark would realize their division was the best.
“I know that one day he’ll look back and he’ll understand that,” she added.
