Liverpool is claimed to be ready to “leave” the Premier League Giants at some point in 2026.
Liverpool experienced their first loss of the 2025/26 season on Saturday afternoon, losing 2-1 at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace.
In previous games, the Reds hadn’t made it to the forefront of this season and were naturally beaten by Crystal Palace, relying on the paper’s second half goals over the crack.
Still, there’s no need for panic at Anfield as six games and two points are the top of the Premier League except for title rival Arsenal.
Some of Liverpool’s key players have not performed at peak times. Ibrahima Konate struggled and is naturally criticized.

Conate was shining alongside Virgil van Dik’s grand captap last season, but declined at the start of the campaign in reports linking him to moves elsewhere.
Konate is one of the most valuable footballers who could become a free agent in 2026 and have been attracting interest from La Liga Giants Real Madrid.
Along with Conate, Liverpool is facing a recurring situation for Trent Alexander Arnold, but former Premier League chief Mick Brown has “connected very well in the game” – telling the football insider that Liverpool is open to allowing centre-back holidays next year.
Brown believes that if Liverpool “can replace him,” they will be ready to offload Conate in January.
“It’s said that Liverpool is ready for Conate to leave,” Brown told Football Insider.

“Of course they don’t want to be shortened to the back, so they have to bring in replacements, but if they can replace him, they’re happy to let him go.
“That was revealed in their efforts to sign Mark Guech in the summer, and they hoped he would join as Van Dik’s new partner.
“Obviously they couldn’t put Guehi in, so Konate is still a very important player to them and he can’t afford to continue making mistakes.
“The manager expects he was so miles away that he was furious at him after that performance against the palace, which is not what they need.
“If they want to compete defiantly in league titles and other trophies, all players need to be consistent, and that’s exactly the problem they have with Konate.
“They needed strikers. They spent £125 million on Isaac. They wanted a midfielder. They spent £110 million on Wirtz.
“When the windows open in January, they hope they’re making an effort to bring someone along, which will probably allow them to move Conate to Real Madrid.”
