Former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys has questioned whether he has the “tool” to sign Florian Wiltz in the summer of Liverpool to succeed in the Premier League.
German International was dropped against Everton from Arne Slot’s starting XI from Merseyside Derby’s starting XI, and fellow Big Money also signed the bench to Alexander Isaac.
Ryan Gravenburch and Alexis Mac Alistair played Toffee alongside the farthest midfielder Dominique Skoboschlei as Slot placed their faith in Hugo Ekichke as well.
Wirtz, who came out on the bench against Everton in 61 minutes, has yet to assist in six games this season, contributing to goals in six matches in all Liverpool tournaments this season, and after spending a £100 million cost to the club, he received another £16 million if Bayer Leverkusen wins the Premier League or Champion at age 22, and has yet to assist in six games this season.
In Liverpool’s three-day match, the logical conclusion is that Wirtz was ruled out for fitness or tactical reasons, but Keys suggests that Wirtz was not chosen for failing to adapt to the Premier League.
Keys said in Bein Sports: “What is Wirtz not selected today?”

Former Liverpool fullback Jason McCarter believes Slot has probably left him to fight David Moe’s Everton side, but Keys interrupts him and says, “Does that mean he (wirtz) doesn’t have the tools he needs to play for Harry Wally in the Premier League when the game is important?”
Before the key was added later, he said, “Is this the bass? Are you thinking about the fact that he was anonymous and barely got a kick against Arsenal… this will be the same kind of game.”
Slot explained his decision to rule out Wirtz and Isak. “The same way of thinking as the Mac Allister on the bench against Atletico. As I said, it’s three games in seven days rather than eight, this is Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday.
“I think Szoboszlai, who played both of these games today, is more used to Florian’s ability to the Premier League and the strength of this program than he comes from Germany. So it’s just a lot of games in a limited time. I don’t think he’s from the start.”

Ekitike scored Liverpool’s second goal in a 2-1 victory over Everton and former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock.
Warnock said on BBC Radio Five Live: “Hugo Ekitike is getting better and better.
“When he gets on the ball, he was dangerous and he was very impressive in his short time at Liverpool.
“It’s a really smart finish, a quick touch, and he passes it to the bottom corner.
“Jordan Pickford doesn’t have the chance to go nearby and Liverpool looks very comfortable.”
