Logan Marshall-Green has been tapped as a lead opposite Luke Grimes in CBS‘ Yellowstone spinoff series Y: Marshals, in which Grimes reprises his role as Kayce Dutton from Taylor Sheridan’s hit Paramount Network drama.
In Y: Marshals, with the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton (Grimes) joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, duty and the high psychological cost that comes with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence.
Marshall-Green will play Pete Calvin, a friend from Kayce’s time in the military.
Y: Marshals, whose premiere episode is written by Spencer Hudnut and directed by Greg Yaitanes, is slated to premiere midseason in the post-Tracker Sunday 9 PM time period.
The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios with Sheridan executive producing along with David C. Glasser exec producing for 101 Studios as well as Hudnut, who serves as showrunner, Grimes, Yaitanes, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox. Y: Marshals will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
