Ahead of its Season 1 premiere on August 22, Netflix has renewed its upcoming animated comedy Long Story Short for a second season. You can also see a trailer for Season 1 above.
From Bojack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Long Story Short is about one family, over time. Jumping through the years, we follow the Schwooper siblings from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, and compromises.
Voice cast includes Lisa Edelstein, Paul Reiser, Ben Feldman, Abbi Jacobson, Max Greenfield, Angelique Cabral and Nicole Byer, along with Dave Franco and Michaela Dietz who recur.
Long Story Short comes from Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company, which produced BoJack, as well as ShadowMachine, which did the animation.
Bob-Waksberg serves as writer and showrunner on the series, which he executive produces alongside Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen for Tornante Television. Lisa Hanawalt is supervising producer and designer of original art for the series. ShadowMachine is producing out of its Los Angeles animation studio. Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley serve as co-executive producers.
