Don’t quit your weekday job
Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders are always ready for football, but lifelong gigs aren’t even the main event as far as income goes.
ESPN reported in 2017 that NFL team cheerleaders made around $75 to $150 per game. Or at least a living wage.
As seen in the first season of American Lover, DCC alumnus Kelsey Wetterberg is a pediatric registered nurse, and at the time Newmer’s Reese Allman (Ne Weaver) was working at a Dallas florist to supplement his income from Chiareding.
Cheerleaders’ salaries have risen to nearly $400 per game, plus up in addition to all the hourly wages spent preparing for the game and preparing for appearances.
Still, DCC alumni Kat Puryear said on a Netflix show, “I say I’m making myself like an alternative teacher (salary)… I think I’m making her like a Chick-fil-A worker who works full-time.”
