Reports say Man UTD is “expected” to place a £60 million bid on Everton centre back Jarrad Branthwaite during the January transfer period.
The Red Devils spent more than £200 million on five new signings during the summer transfer period.
Man Utd got off to an overwhelming start to the season with a 2-1 weekend win at a critical time for Ruben Amorim after putting pressure on the Portuguese head coach.
The Red Devils scored seven points in five games on Amorim’s side in the lower half of the preseason Premier League table.
And now, Amorim and the Man UTD Recruitment team want to give him more tools in the winter window to turn the Red Devils into a successful aspect.
Man Utd has been deeply ties with Everton Centre Back Branthwaite for the last few years, but now journalist Mark Brus claims he expects Man United to bid £60 million on England International in January.

With the uncertain future of Mann UTD, Harry Maguire, Bruce describes their interest in Bluntwaite as “serious” Everton defenders who are eager to join the “top club” in the future.
Clearing the current situation surrounding Maguire, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel:
“Ruben Amorim really appreciates Harry Maguire’s mentality, and the people at the club respect that Maguire is trying to do for the young players who are now arriving at the club.
The player who is unlikely to have a future with Man Utd is Romano’s Andre Onana, who claims he is unlikely to play again for Red Devils.

Romano added: “My understanding is that both Man Wood and Andre Onana himself see this man’s utd chapter as almost closed. So it’s very difficult to imagine Onana surpassing Man utd (next summer).
“Man Utd believes Senne Lammens will become the current and future goalkeeper, so unless something special happens, (Onana’s agreement) is straight on loan and he may go somewhere in the future, but it will likely end between Man Utd and Onana.”
Man Utd will need to sign a defensive midfielder in the next couple’s transfer window along with one player of interest to Brighton’s Carlos Baleba.
With Valeva, Romano continues: “Brighton’s Carlos Beleva’s final performance against Tottenham was not inferior. It wasn’t on the level of a player like Valeva. After the game, coach Fabian Hazeler was very honest.
“Baleba wanted to go to Man Wood, but he always had respect for Brighton. He was enthusiastic about the move. Personal terms never mattered. The only thing that mattered was Brighton and the man Utah. Brighton might consider letting him go in 2026, but in 2025 he was always no.
“I have told Man Utd several times that he will pay attention to Baleba. He is extremely grateful to Ruben Amorim.
“These performances are not yet at a level of robbery.”
