Reports say Manchester United “sets” a “price” for the academy product Kobbie Mainoo, amid interest from Real Madrid.
Mainoo has been deeply tied to a potential exit from Man Utd over the past few months as he fell into the pecking order after the appointment of Ruben Amorim.
The United head coach is clearly not a huge fan of Mainoo, who has struggled to find a home in his favorite 3-4-3 formation.
This has contributed to Mainoo’s loss of form over the past year, and after becoming an unused replacement in the first few matches of the Premier League games this season, it appeared he would leave Man UTD.
At the time, Serie a Giants Napoli were trying to lend to Maine, but the move was blocked by Ineos and Amorim.

Amorim then softened Maine into folding, and he was a bright spark in the otherwise daily afternoon as Man Wood lost 3-0 to Man City last weekend.
However, he is also attracting interest from Real Madrid, so it remains to be seen whether Maine’s long-term future will be in Man Wood.
A report from Spanish outlet Fishajes claims that Real Madrid “looks towards finding a successor to Lucamodric and Toniklu,” and that Meine is the “main target.”
It has also been pointed out that “trading is not easy” because Man Utd’s “clear stance” about the future is a “bomb.”

Man UTD is currently under contract until 2027, so you can ask Mainoo for a significant fee, but this reported price is higher than the £40 million that you requested in the summer.
The report explains:
“The most surprising thing is that the player himself isn’t having the best time at United. This situation has caused dissatisfaction with players who have already expressed to those close to his desire to change teams in future transfer windows,” according to various reports.
“Even so, it appears Manchester United are not willing to encourage his departure. The English club’s strategy is to leverage the midfielder’s contract running until 2027 to secure a multi-million dollar transfer. Real Madrid recognizes that new blood will be needed in the mid-term in the mid-term, and has made it clear that it will consider a deal, but always considers it reasonable within the financial parameters.
