Ir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos bosses are “particularly unhappy” with “frustration” about Reuben Amorim’s controversial system and philosophy at Manchester United.
Amorim eased the pressure through his last 2-1 victory over Chelsea, but there were still widespread concerns about the 3-4-3 formation at Old Trafford, and prior to that victory, it was allegedly that “senior players” questioned the tactics and “lost the confidence of the dressing room.”
Ratcliffe was in Carrington to meet Amorim before Sunday’s match. Amorim was joking that he was there to offer him a new deal.
“New contract, he was offering me a new contract,” Amorim said at a press conference when asked about Ratcliffe’s visit.
“No, it’s normal, just to show support, to explain it as a long project. He’s said many times, “This is my third season.” That’s not the case for me.

TBR Football Chief Correspondent Graeme Bailey also revealed details of the meeting between Ratcliffe and Amorim, claiming that United’s chief is “happy” in the summer transfer window and is aware of the team’s improvements.
Bailey said: “They are happy with what happened in the summer – the players they brought in, the systems they’re implementing – and the main focus is seeing progress on the field.
“And we’re already seeing it, they’re a much better team than he first took over, but certainly they wouldn’t have been that bad.
“The club is in favor of Amorim. Jason Wilcox has bought it entirely for his approach. The team is shaping its image with Amorim. Now there’s little point in canceling the experiment.
However, the report adds that “Ratcliffe and his eu are particularly unhappy with the number of leaks regarding players expressing their frustration with Amorim’s system.”
Journalist Ben Jacobs made an update on Wednesday with Amorim’s future Man UTD, from what he heard.
He states: “I’m certainly grateful for names like Oliver Glasner, but the indication that Amorim is still in favor is that there was no outreach yet. There were no candidates yet.
“Manchester United wants to try and get it to work with Reuben Amorim, so at least if some of these other names don’t go out according to Amorim’s plans, he could probably get a few more games before some of the other names get a little more serious.”
