Reports say Bruno Fernandez and Manchester United have already “agreed” to “sell” his £100 million, which will fund “away” deals for the two.
Fernandez has been attracting attention as a top target in the Saudi Pro League, and the possibility of his departure from Manchester United over the past year has been widely reported.
The 31-year-old is probably the only player who could play with Man United with all his might last season. He was undoubtedly a top performer for Reuben Amorim, but he struggled in a deeper position this season.
The United captain had been garnering strong interest from Al Hilal, who is considering signing him ahead of the Club World Cup, so it could have been easy to move elsewhere in the summer.
It was hinted that the Red Devils could make around £100 million by signing Fernandez, but it was up to him to decide whether the move would come to fruition.
After much thought, it was revealed that Fernandez had chosen to stay with Man United, but reports linking the midfielder to his departure have not disappeared.

On Tuesday afternoon, Football Insider reports that Manchester United made a “shocking U-turn” on Fernandez in order to “become tempted” to sell Fernandez in 2026.
Former Chief Scout Mick Brown told Football Insider: “If Fernandez offers about £100 million, they might decide it’s time to get cash. That amount is certainly appealing to them.”
“They can then use that fund to look at some goals to strengthen their teams, because that’s an area they feel they can improve.”
“It’ll depend a lot on how they perform this season, because if they do well and perhaps get to Europe, he’ll play that important role.”
“If not, the club could go in a different direction and I’m sure he’ll accept that too.”
