A new report reveals how Manchester United’s summer signings have settled down, with staff “shocked” by one new signing in particular.
The Red Devils were active in the transfer market this summer, signing most of their top targets and becoming one of Europe’s biggest spending teams.
Man United spent around £230m on the signings of Brian Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesco and Senne Lamence as most of the so-called ‘bomb squad’ were sacked to raise money.
United will be disappointed not to sign Brighton star Carlos Baleva, who was likely to leave, as the lack of a quality number six has affected their performances this season.
Still, Man Utd look to be in a stronger position than last season, with Mbeumo, Cunha and Sesco improving in attack, while Lamence looks like a clear upgrade over former No. 1 Andre Onana.

Manchester United achieved their most important victory to date under head coach Ruben Amorim, with all four summer signings having a huge impact on their game against Liverpool at the weekend.
Now, a report in The Sun reveals how Man United are “evaluating their four new signings” internally, with staff saying they were “shocked” by Mbeumo’s “consistency” at the start of this campaign.
It was also noted that staff were impressed with Cunha after she had been “warned that she could be sensitive to handling and had a tendency to show off her charms in public.”
Despite this, “the treatment he received from United officials was almost purely positive”, while he also “developed an unlikely friendship with Luke Shaw, despite the large number of Portuguese speakers at the club”. that’s nice.

It was also shown that the Red Devils were “amazed” by Cunha’s performance against Liverpool, although there is also an impression that Cunha helped captain Bruno Fernandes.
The report claims: “Dressing room officials feel that his ability to retain the ball and move forward has eased the pressure on captain Bruno Fernandes.”
It is also strongly believed that Sesko is an “upgrade” to Rasmus Hojlund.
The report adds:
“United staff emphasize how much of an upgrade Sesco is over Rasmus Højlund. Højlund scored four goals for Napoli, but that was ignored by those working with Sesco.
“While Hojlund’s off-the-ball play was a major concern for Amorim, Sesco’s awareness, ball-winning and distribution drew praise from the United coach.”
