Trouble is brewing in Ireland within one of the nation’s most enduring dynasties as trailer drops for Netflix’s House of Guinness, the latest epic from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
First trail can be seen today for the show starring James Norton, Anthony Boyle and Louis Partridge that premieres September 25, showcasing the story behind arguably Ireland’s most popular export.
The trailer begins with the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery.
The reading of Benjamin Guinness’ will and its far-reaching consequences for the children is then interspersed with scenes of violence, gore and romance, setting up an epic story on the streets of Ireland.
Norton stars as Sean Rafferty and the Guinnesses will be played by Boyle, Partridge, Emily Fairn and Fionn O’Shea, who play Arthur, Edward, Anne and Benjamin respectively. Derva Kirwan, Jack Gleeson and Niamh McCormack also star.
House of Guinness launches September 25. It is the latest dynastic effort from Knight, who just made A Thousand Blows for Disney+, which told the story of boxing in the Victorian era and has been recommissioned for a second season.
