Alexander Isaac has issued a statement denounced the “promise” that Newcastle United made him as “misleading.”
The Swedish striker appears to be under the impression that Newcastle said that if a big club is interested in him, Newcastle could leave the club. Perhaps they didn’t say he would let him leave at a lower price than his asking price.
Liverpool has only made one bid for ISAK, worth £110 million, and will need to return for more than £120 million to convince Newcastle to sell. Whatever makes some people believe you, it’s not a “silly” request.
Isak said on Instagram:
“That silence allowed people to push their own version of the event.
“The reality is that promises have been made and the club has known my position for a long time. Now it’s misleading to act like these issues are emerging.
“When a promise is broken and trust is lost, the relationship cannot last. That’s what it is for me for now. And why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.”
But that “change” is only possible if a) Liverpool returns with a bid that meets Newcastle’s asking price, and b) Newcastle signs two strikers and already allows Callum Wilson to leave this summer.
They have made an offer to Brentford’s Joan Wissa, but the bees are trying to copy Newcastle and raise prices.
They failed to move this summer, among other things, Joao Pedro, Benjamin Sesko and Hugo Ekitike.
It is expected that Liverpool will not return again for Isaac until after the Premier League clash next Monday night.
Following Isak’s statement, Luke Edwards of Daily Telegraph tweeted. They will not be bullied or retreated either. ”
Critic Jamie Karager believes Isaac is not acting. “The transfer happens every summer, but I don’t think it should go toxic or nucleus to refuse play or training.
“They are paying his wages, they were great for you, you were great for them, just keep training, keep playing and hope the deal is over.”
