The difficulties with Newcastle United’s summer transfers continue as it is said that Milan defender Malick Chiau will be allowed to leave only if he receives a “fully bid from market value.”
Newcastle reportedly submitted an offer of 30 million euros to Milan for the 23-year-old, as it appeared to have lost at Benjamin Sesco.
However, Fabrizio Romano reports that Milan only enjoys the offer around 45 million euros, and manager Masimiliano Alegri wants the player to stay.
The centre-back clearly made a “great effect on the preseason” and is now part of the Serie A season coach’s plan. Romano also says the club will simply accept “a full bid from market value.”
Sky Germany has reported that Newcastle has already agreed to a four-year deal with the player, and Bayer Leverkusen is also interested.
If Thiaw doesn’t take part, he will be the latest in a long line of Newcastle’s move-in-beat missed this summer. Magpies have seen players like Liam Dellup, Joa Pedro, Hugo Ekitique, James Trafford, Dean Huizen and Brian Mbeumo all move elsewhere.
Meanwhile, they are faced with a dilemma about what to do with the Wantaway Striker Alexander Isak, which revealed they want to join Liverpool. The failure to sign Newcastle’s Sesko suggests they must keep the Swedish striker.
This week, Eddie Howe banned Isaac from training his first team after the player chose to train at the former club Real Sociedad’s facility. The manager told the Daily Mail that ISAK “must gain the right to train with us.”
“We are Newcastle United. Players are responsible for being a team and being part of the team. You need to act the right way.
“We make sure that players do that to gain the right to train with the group, and we can’t expect them to act poorly and train with the group as normal.
“Of course I want to (train) him, but I don’t know at this point whether he will.
“Other people are going back to their home to deal with the situation.”

Romano said on his YouTube channel over the weekend: “Liverpool today announced its first official bid after an informal discussion of Alexander Isaac with Newcastle more than two weeks ago.
“I didn’t appreciate the answer to this suggestion from Newcastle. Full stop. Newcastle didn’t say, ‘This is the price.’ Newcastle didn’t say, “Let’s negotiate again next week.” Newcastle didn’t say “Players are out of hand.”
“That’s the message from Newcastle, and this is probably why many reports about Liverpool see that they are not willing to bid again on Alexander Isaac. Clearly, when Newcastle sees something strong in Liverpool’s position, it’s pointless to send bids every day for Isaac.”
