On Monday, Google announced that it will update its Video Overview feature on Notebooklm to support 80 languages, including French, German, Spanish and Japanese. The company has also upgraded its audio overview and has enhanced its audio overview in more detail than English.
Last month, Notebooklm launched a video summary, allowing users to turn notes, PDFs and images into video presentations. Previously only available in English, this update is beneficial for non-English speakers who want to learn from the visual summary of the language they want to see.
Furthermore, the audio overview has also improved for non-English users. Originally, it was limited to short summary, but the full version was in English only. This allows users to get a more detailed overview in over 80 languages. The company says there is still an option to get a shorter summary if users need highlights.
These updates are designed to meet the needs of NotebookLM’s global audiences and help users learn through any language or voice summary.
Starting today, these updates are available to anyone and will be rolled out globally within the next week.
