New York (AP) – All Tory Burch Fashion Shows have specific features – magnificent venue, Relaxed American sportswearand the message of women’s empowerment – and the Spring/Summer 2026 collection at New York Fashion Week has provided all three.
Birch’s consistent desire to celebrate New York City tries to find that motivation Hidden Jewels and Landmarks Set the stage for her show. The Monday night presentation took place at an old bank in Brooklyn. Brooklyn looked more like a huge church than a former financial institution. The marble floor and extremely high vaulted ceiling created a dramatic background, with the enormous pillars and arches extending to the sparkling gold and silver mosaic ceilings.
Burch defends women with her designs
“Women are the answer,” the designer said with a smile. “I wanted to think about femininity and strength, so there were a lot of things that went in. I wanted a uber Lux, but it mixed with worn, familiar things,” Burch told The Associated Press in an interview after the show.
She said the collection “had a lot of focus on percentages, wearing hip-down pants and skirts, and hip-down dresses.”
The model passed the bank table as he ran through the runway of a muted tone of brown, blue, cream and grey birch. The most notable design was certainly the lower waist of the pants and skirt.
A pop of jerseys perfect for the colour and body from the new collection
The skirt hits under the knees – some of the leather was pleated with wool chambray, swaying under the tailored blazer. For a nod to sportswear, a more casual look includes a fitted silk knit shirt with a pointed collar paired with wool pants.
While the palette leaned rustic, there were bright colour moments like a turquoise canvas wrench coat, as well as sunny yellow canvas jackets with a hood. “I wanted optimism, and that’s where the colour came in,” Burch said.
The viscose jersey dress hugged her body, but she was light enough to move, popping out into a bright red and cotton candy pink. “We spent a lot of time thinking about jerseys and used it a little differently. We actually celebrated the women’s bodies, not the clothes,” Burch said.
Works like hand-beaded cotton and linen tops and hand-board cashmere sweaters showed off the craftsmanship that Burch said was important to the brand. The show was closed in a handboard mesh dress and a dramatic black and gold hand-crafted silk chiffon and lace dress.
“I wanted you to keep it forever about the very beautifully crafted and tailored pieces,” Burch said.

Front row celebrities include Ciara, Naomi Watts, Tessa Thompson, Mindy Kaling, Jessica Alba and Chloe Fineman.
Emma Roberts She even told her that she was “obsessed” with Burch even before she became a teenager. “I remember the feeling I was going to die when I was able to buy my first Tory Burch flat, so I’m sitting now… front row at her fashion show, this is kind of surreal,” the actor said. “At 12 I’m getting crazy!”
