As Oasis performed to a sold-out crowd at Wembley Stadium in London, the evening ended in tragedy for one fan.
During Saturday’s stop on their Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, a man in his 40s died after reportedly falling from the upper tier of the stadium at around 10:19pm, shortly after the concert began at the 90,000-capacity venue.
Police and medics rushed to his aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene with “injuries consistent with a fall,” The Mirror reported.
The band said they were “shocked and saddened” at the news of the man’s death at their show, according to BBC News. “Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved,” they said in a statement.
Police ask anyone with information regarding the fall reach out, as they “believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage.”
Wembley noted that Sunday’s Oasis concert will go on as planned.
