Olivia Rodrigo and Conan Grey do not mean that they will become traitors of each other.
However, the Grammy Award winner and “Heather” singer admitted that they have little to keep releasing some of their biggest hits as singles either.
As Olivia told the interview magazine in a dual interview published on August 15th, “We sometimes share bad advice with each other about the samples.”
The 22-year-old said, “In Superache, you played me ‘memories’. This turned out to be the biggest hit on the album. ”
“Everyone loved it,” Olivia shared. “And I remember hearing it for the first time. ‘I think you have a better song.'”
But she also revealed that, of course, Conan did almost the same thing to her when he released his sophomore album in 2023, although there was no cruel intention.
“When I gave you courage, I played you a ‘Vampire’ and I was like, ‘Is this not a good thing?’,” she said. “And he’s like, ‘Not for the first single.’ ”
And Conan was driven by that reaction, saying, “I was like, ‘It’s okay.’ ”
