Athletics David Ornstein revealed that Newcastle United has turned down the first official offer for Alexander Isaac from Liverpool.
The Reds are already very active in the summer transfer market, with four famous arrivals to Florian Wiltz, Jeremy Flippon, Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitique.
However, it’s unlikely that Liverpool will buy a new centre-back and will try to win a UK transfer record deal on the line of Newcastle striker Isak, which is unlikely to happen there.
The Swedes were a potential realistic option last week after the recent reveal that a widespread report told Newcastle he wanted to leave St. James Park.
Liverpool has revealed that he thinks the deal is 60% before making an official offer with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano earlier this week.
Romano told Dazen Football: “In terms of Liverpool’s proportions, it’s 60% for Alexander Isaac. That’s very optimistic, but there’s still something to go 40% before Isaac says he’s going to become Liverpool.

“But Liverpool has all the intentions to become stronger for this contract. Liverpool has already made contact with Newcastle two weeks ago.
“Liverpool is ready to make a record-breaking Premier League bid for the 25-year-old, but we’re waiting for Newcastle to give it a green light.”
But now, athletic David Ornstein has revealed that Newcastle has “rejected an official bid” from Liverpool for Isaac, despite Sweden International’s attempt to leave St. James’ Park.
Transfer expert Romano revealed that their initial offer was “valued to the £120 million package and add-on worth” and Newcastle insisted on finding a replacement before selling to Liverpool.

Romano writes to X: Newcastle refused because he couldn’t open the door until at least find a replacement…and is not guaranteed at this stage. Isaac claims to Newcastle about his clear desire to join Liverpool.
Football finance expert Stephen Bourson argued earlier this week that there was no reason for Newcastle to sell Isaac to Liverpool for less than £140 million this summer.
Bourson told Football Insider:
“I think honestly, the only real question is whether Liverpool is ready to pay £150 million and whether Newcastle is ready to bite a bullet and sell him.
“I can’t believe Newcastle will sell him under £140 million and for some add-ons. Why are they selling him under £140 million when there’s a situation like this?
“If I were Newcastle, I’d hold my position. I’m definitely not going to sell for £120 million, maybe £130 million and £20 million.
“But I have not seen him go to al-Hilar. I don’t think a player will go to Saudi Arabia at age 25, and I think it’s unlikely that Newcastle would want to do that deal because of the impact of all the financial fair play it has.
“That being said, they don’t want to trade Liverpool either, but if the money is right and the players want to go, I can see that it’s going and Liverpool is clearly aiming for that.”
