David Ornstein revealed that Alexander Isaac is sure he will not play for Newcastle again this summer, even if he “refused to sell” to Liverpool.
The Reds looked unlikely to land Isaac early in the summer transfer window after the Magpies competed in the Champions League and players weren’t upset by the move.
However, after Liverpool approached Newcastle, Isaac later told the Geordy rank that he wanted to leave St. James Park in Anfield this summer.
Liverpool has submitted an offer of £110 million. This was quickly rejected. The Reds will not bid again unless Newcastle gets a replacement.
Reporting on Isak’s future on Monday, transfer journalist Ben Jacobs revealed in X: “Liverpool’s position regarding Alexander Isaac remains the same.
“After the £110 million rejected offer, there was no further bid, approach or significant interaction. Liverpool respects Newcastle’s position, and the emphasised nature of rejection means #LFC is still waiting for encouragement.

‘Liverpool has seen a similar situation to Anthony Gordon last summer. #NUFC was the first to show that they would accept the deal just to sell Elliot Anderson and Jankabaminte instead, due to PSR issues.
‘When Liverpool approached late in that window, Newcastle no longer wanted a seller. Liverpool bid because they understood that Newcastle had shown an appetite to engage in Isaac. It was made with optimism, so the strong and prompt rejection was surprising.
“Now that’s been rejected, Liverpool won’t be involved without encouragement. They’re not leaving, and the saga is not finished yet. But Liverpool wants to bid again only if it makes clear that Newcastle is not wasting time. If a new bid arrives, both clubs must be on the same page and then there is a possibility of an exit.”
And now, athletic David Ornstein claims that Swedish International Isaac “will never represent Newcastle again.”

Ornstein added:
“Isak’s perspective is that after being notified last summer that Newcastle must adhere to football’s financial rules and is already in a lucrative deal until 2028, he made it clear that it will be his final campaign with the club.”
