According to David Ornstein, Newcastle knocked back yet another bid for the striker this summer as the wolves rejected Jorgen Strand Larsen’s £50 million offer.
Magpies have seen attempts to sign Hugo Ekitike, Benjamin Sesko and Yoane Wissa.
Swedish International is now refusing to play for Eddie Howe in search of a move to Liverpool after claiming it was a “broken promise” regarding the new contract.
Isak said on Instagram:
“That silence allowed people to push their own version of the event.
“The reality is that promises have been made and the club has known my position for a long time. Now it’s misleading to act like these issues are emerging.
“When a promise is broken and trust is lost, the relationship cannot last. That’s what it is for me for now. And why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.”
In response, Newcastle said, “We are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce that we are pleased to announce “It’s clear that no terms of sale have occurred this summer. We don’t expect these conditions to be met.”

It leaves Isaac at Limbo and Liverpool will not bid again until the door opens claiming Newcastle will remain closed until it sources at least two new strikers.
They still had nothing, and after Liverpool beat them to Ekitique, Manchester beat them to Sesco, Brentford refused Wissa’s offer, and they now turn their eyes to Strandlersen.
Ornstein revealed that their “£50 million straight offer without add-ons” was completely rejected by the wolves. He argues that this summer, “I am denied a bid for Strandlersen this summer, given that it is so important for the club this summer, and that there is not enough time to find a substitution ready to play in the Premier League.
It is also claimed that Strand Larsen is considered by Newcastle as a potential replacement for Wilson, in contrast to Alexander Isaac, as he sticks to a “not-sold” party line with regard to Liverpool’s targets.
Strand Larsen is “eager to” move to Newcastle, but this summer he “hasn’t been incited to leave the wolves” after 14 goals and four assists on the 2024/2025 season loan and joined for £23 million, which was permanently in July.
