In a recent interview with the New York Times, Wella’s Health CEO Tom Hale didn’t discuss reports of new funding that cherished health tracking ring makers for nearly $11 billion, but he spoke about whether he had ambitions to publish Woola.
“We certainly hit a threshold of size, trajectory, scale and growth,” Hale said. “We can make it public. Is that in our plan? It’s certainly an option. And when the moment is right, we’ll let everyone know.”
Wella recently announced that it will generate $1 billion in revenue this year, doubling its revenue from 2024.
Hale was also asked about his own sleep habits (7.5 hours each night) and Oura’s participation in a data sharing program launched by the Trump administration. In the latter subject, Hale said the company is trying to help customers share data when it is useful.
“No, ‘Yeah, I’m sharing my data with the Trump administration right now.'” he said. He added, “Your data privacy and security cannot be negotiated.” In particular, “can be used in some way against you.”
