The survey results were based on a sample of over 1,000 respondents over 15 years of age living in Ukraine. Several regions under Russian control, which account for around 10% of the population, have been excluded from surveys conducted since 2022 due to lack of access.

Ukrainians are far less optimistic that their country will be accepted by NATO or the European Union in the next decade than they have been a few years ago.
A new poll shows that about a third of Ukrainians expect Ukraine to be accepted by NATO within the next 10 years, but about a quarter thinks it will take at least 10 years, and a third thinks it will never happen.
That has decreased since 2022. About two-thirds of Ukrainians thought that NATO would happen over the next decade, and only one in ten thought that it would never happen.
Hope for acceptance into the EU is high, but it has fallen again. Approximately half of Ukrainians, 52%, expect to become part of the EU within the next 10 years, down from 73% in 2022.
