Rome (AP) – Pope Leo XIV On Sunday, more than a million Catholic young people urged them to “spread witnesses of your enthusiasm and faith” as they returned to around 150 countries.
“Great things, holiness, zealous wherever you are,” Leo urged a young, faithful. “You will see the light of the gospel growing every day, every day, around you. ”

Leo also shared tragic news on Saturday. Two young men who made a pilgrimage to Rome have passed away, one reportedly suffered cardiac arrest, and a third person was hospitalized.
The rain overnight awakened the faithful, but did not dampen their spirits.
“At least we were a little covered, but still a bit wet. We lost our voice a little. It was cold, but we woke up to the beautiful sun and views,” said Soemil Rios, 20, of Puerto Rico.
The Rome sisters Julia de Luca admitted that “waking up was a little hard,” but she was looking forward to seeing the Pope again.
“It’s so nice to close out a very intense week together. It’s definitely not only very fun, but also very challenging in many ways,” she said.
