Ange Postecoglou set his sights on the referee, but he felt that Nottingham Forest had made another game from “Get Away” to “Get Away” with the latest negative outcome.
Postecoglou has not yet achieved the pace as the Forest boss. He oversaw five games for the city ground outfit, losing three and drawing two.
There were multiple opportunities where Forest should have gotten more than he did from the game. Swansea came from behind to beat them 3-2 in the League Cup – two goals came in suspension – and 2-1 in the 85th minute of the Europa League tie with Real Betis before leveling their terms at 2-2.
Post-Coglow felt that Mori should have a 1-0 or more defeat against the newly promoted Premier League side Sunderland.
He states:
“But we still think that the determination to keep the ball away from the net is just too lax, and I thought it was a truly unfortunate goal to admit, especially in a game we mostly controlled.
“It’s not a game where Matz Sels keeps out by making lots of saves, and that’s frustrating and disappointing.
“It’s another game that allowed us to escape from us and we really need to overcome it really very comfortably (opposition).
“We had pretty good control over the game, and that was a really bad goal we acknowledged, despite the poor decision.

“But that was a really bad goal and there was plenty of time to fix it.
“We certainly created ample opportunities in the second half and the first half, but at this point we’re not ruthless in terms of taking advantage of the advantage we have and turning it into a victory rather than what has happened in the last four or five games.”
However, this loss is not well reflected in Postecoglou’s records. Not only has he not currently won in five Forest games, but his team is 16th in the Premier League, as well as in his last 16 Premier League matches, the manager won only once.
Forest felt that this would be a good season and secure European football, but now they are not in a good place so it seems the new boss can’t turn things around yet.
