WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump Speak frankly, frankly, and often even harshly. But he rarely drops actual F-bombs when the cameras are rolling.
But that’s what he did Friday when a journalist asked him about a report the Venezuelan president had made. Nicolas Maduro offered significant concessions in an attempt to reduce bilateral tensionsincluding providing the nation’s natural resources to the United States.
President Trump responded, “He gave everything,” effectively confirming the report. “He gave everything. You know why? Because he doesn’t want anything to do with America.”
The New York Times reported last week that Venezuelan officials have offered the United States a large stake in the country’s oil and other mineral resources. However, the Trump administration ultimately rejected these offers.
Separately, Associated Press reported. Venezuelan officials have also floated plans for President Maduro to step down within three years and hand over power to Vice President Delcy Rodriguez. That offer was also rejected by the US
It didn’t take long for the White House to promote Trump’s expletives, which served to emphasize the Trump administration’s hardline stance on Venezuela and the Maduro regime.
The administration’s rapid response account on social media site X quickly published a video of President Trump’s f-bomb, accompanied by three fire emojis. This is currently a pinned post to the “RapidResponse47” account.
Meanwhile, the official White House account posted the video with the acronym “FAFO,” which stands for “Go Around and Find It.”
President Trump used the word on camera at least once this year, when in June he vented his frustration that Israel and Iran continued fighting despite a ceasefire.
“I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran, but I’m really unhappy with Israel leaving this morning.” At the time, Trump said: “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so hard for so long that we don’t know what they’re doing.”
He used this word even when the cameras weren’t rolling. In a 2021 interview with an Israeli journalist, President Trump slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments congratulating former President Joe Biden on winning the 2020 election.
In response to a video posted by Prime Minister Netanyahu on January 20, 2021, President Trump reportedly said, “I haven’t talked to him since. F— him.”
