On Wednesday, Reddit launched a set of free tools for publishers to track article performance and receive suggestions on where to share stories within the site’s community. The new feature was launched as part of Reddit Pro, a set of business tools that debuted last year, helping organizations increase their presence on the platform.
Three important tools have been added under the (Links) tab in Reddit Pro. These include article insights to see where stories were shared, and statistics related to them, such as views, upboats, clicks.

Publishers can also sync RSS feeds to Reddit Pro and share articles using the dashboard. For distribution, Reddit uses AI to suggest communities where articles can be shared.
Reddit said Alpha is testing publishers’ products with publications such as Atlantic, Hill, NBC News and the Associated Press. Social platforms are currently available to try other platforms in beta.
The company is also improving the news reading experience on the consumer side. Currently, when you click on the link, Reddit opens through an in-app browser. If you want to post a comment on the original thread, you will need to close the story. The company makes it easy to open the links by simply swiping to read or post comments.

News, articles, and blogs are important parts of people’s search experience on Reddit. That’s why Reddit wants publishers to make their platform more suitable for distribution of stories, so people can find them during their search. It also tied to the company that recently declared its ambition to become a search engine.
Reddit shows more statistics for businesses, but the numbers for consumers have also changed. The company announced on Tuesday that it would stop displaying subreddit’s membership count.
