Reports say Alexander Isaac has reiterated his desire to leave Newcastle United and move to Liverpool despite meetings with the magpie owner.
Swedish International is aiming to break out of St James Park before the transfer deadline amid a hugely keen interest from Liverpool, which has placed a bid of £110 million this summer.
Isaac even called out Newcastle on social media, claiming that “the relationship cannot continue when the promise is broken and trust is lost.”
The Newcastle striker wrote on Instagram:
“That silence allowed people to push their own version of the event.
“The reality is that promises have been made and the club has known my position for a long time. Now it’s misleading to act like these issues are emerging.

“When a promise is broken and trust is lost, the relationship cannot last. That’s what it is for me for now. And why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.”
In response, Newcastle claimed that “no commitment was made by club officials that Alex could leave Newcastle United this summer,” and that it “still remains under contract,” while “it was not on sale this summer.”
In an update Tuesday afternoon, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote to X: If the #LFC is ready to bid again, Newcastle opens the door to drop out, the story remains in the #NUFC Hand…but Isaac still wants Anfield’s move as soon as possible.
Daily telegraph journalist Luke Edwards claimed that Isaac told Newcastle he “wanted to leave after a new discussion with the Saudi owner.”
Liverpool’s transfer target remains the assertion that he wants to leave Newcastle United despite the intervention of Chairman Yasir al-Rumayan, who is keen to mediate the deal that leads to remaining strikers at the club.”

Isak has reiterated his desire to be allowed to join Liverpool this summer, but the Reds are ready to bid again, but “we won’t pay anything close to Newcastle’s £150 million ask price.”
The report continues: “The Public Investment Fund (PIF) delegation, along with co-owner Jamie Reuben, met with players at home on Monday, but there appears to be no progress in getting players back to training.
“Isak appears to be determined to maintain the strike until the desired move is closed or the transfer window is closed. The deadline is just six days away, but the striker appears to be sure he will miss a match against Newcastle’s Leeds United on Saturday.
Transfer journalist Ben Jacobs provided a detailed update of himself on Tuesday, writing to X:
‘- Liverpool will not bid again without encouragement. This can now be defined later in the window as a viable route to a transaction rather than simply an invitation to bid again. – Nothing was expected to happen before tonight’s game.
‘- Don’t consider Liverpool’s first £110 million offer as “lowball” Newcastle. The entire bid was a fixed fee and was a UK record in that category. It was quick and emphasized. Liverpool has since stuck with their “new bid” attitude.
‘ – #LFC prepared to pay around £120 million if it bids again. We have never cited £150 million directly and do not expect that number to be fulfilled or closed. Liverpool believes that doing so will distort the market and undermine its position for future trading.
‘-Newcastle continues to search for strikers, but sources say Joan Wissa or Jorgen Standersen is a replacement for Callum Wilson. Several other targets were investigated.
‘-Newcastle has felt it was unacceptable for most of the summer to stay without signing a new deal. If he decides to reintegrate, he is still ready to offer it.
‘-Yasir Al-Rumayyan will be in Newcastle and make the final decision.
