Rio Ferdinand “flats down” when Burnley was told that Lenny Yoro had not started a Premier League match in which Manchester United defeated the current Premier League side prior to his visit to Old Trafford.
“What am I listening?” Ferdinand said. “I’m trying to have good, positive moments here and get positive.
“But that’s if I can find a positive angle to this – that’s a testament to his resilience. You know, you know how difficult it is to play football.
It’s a very sharp and positive angle, but after a very challenging debut season, almost unharmed, Yolo shows that his “love” as a footballer was well established in his second campaign. He really sees that part.
And the credit if it was due, Ferdinand called it out of Day Dot and praised him as a talent to consider in the personal video shown to Yolo in his first interview with the club.
“You have all the possibilities, you have all the tools, you have everything there, you’re ready to rock and roll to make a big impact at this club.”
And United have Ferdinand to thank him for seducing him into the club in the race for a signature from Real Madrid (along with very good wages).
“It was like two weeks ago (when I first talked to Rio),” Yoro explained last summer. “He called me. First of all, I was really impressed with talking to him. Yeah, we talked about Man United for about ten minutes.

Say what you want about Ferdinand, his YouTuber schtick on on commentary and more. However, he is a fitting legend of Manchester United, with his name and 455 appearing in the club to 12 trophies. It must have been quite a call, and Ferdinand continues singing Yolo’s praises.
“I love him. I don’t know where the ceiling is, but he could be anything,” the former United defender told United that we’ll stand on Monday.
“He also needs the work around him to help him as a young child, but I think he has a nucleus where all the correct traits are half the top centre.
“He’s hardworking, hardworking, but he also takes time.”
And it looks as if he supports him and supports the right horse in the yoro. After spending last season without being one of countless unified problems, he now claims himself as one of those things that glued himself to the solution.
I don’t want him to be tarred with the same brush as Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hozilund and Cobby Mineu, but Manchester United’s new list of “untouchables” will likely include him alongside Matigi de Liguto and Amado Diaro, but perhaps he is the only one to fight, and he is the only one for others to fight.
