EXCLUSIVE: Rohan Campbell has landed a series regular role on Netflix‘s untitled Newfoundland limited series from creator Jesse McKeown, Deadline has learned.
So far, there’s no information on the role Campbell will be playing, as details on the series remain scarce. Netflix declined to comment.
Campbell will appear opposite Josh Hartnett, who also executive produces, and Mackenzie Davis, in the limited series set in Newfoundland, Canada, where they will also shoot. Charlie Heaton has also boarded the series.
The untitled project follows Harnett as a hard-bitten fisherman who must fight to protect his family, his community, and his vanishing way of life when a mysterious sea creature terrorizes a remote Newfoundland town.
McKeown will serve as showrunner and executive produce with Jessica Rhoades through her company, Pacesetter UK. Chris Hatcher, Hartnett, Jamie Childs, Louise Sutton, and Sharon Hall also executive produce. The series’ writing team includes Karen Walton, Perry Chafe, and Natty Zavitz; Jamie Childs, Helen Shaver, and Stephen Dunn will direct. The writing team comprises Karen Walton (Orphan Black), Perry Chafe (St. Pierre), and Natty Zavitz (Edging).
Rohan is best known for playing Frank Hardy in Hulu’s The Hardy Boys. He also gained attention for his role in David Gordon Green’s Halloween Ends. Next, he will star in the upcoming remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night for Cineverse, which just dropped a teaser trailer last week at San Diego Comic-Con.
Campbell is repped by Webster Talent Management, CAA and Sol22.
