Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed Arsenal’s next “big mission.”
Gunners are active during the transfer period this summer as Gunner paid around £200 million with his new signature and around £200 million with Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Alizabaraga, Christian Norgado, Christian Mosquera, Noni Madueke and Victor Gyoker.
These additions have secured most of the main targets, but it is suggested that they can sign midfielders who will be attacking with interest in Crystal Palace and British star Ebe Kieze.
Still, the adoption of North London outfits is likely to win the Premier League and Champions League this season, but they are keen to maintain their valuable assets.
William Saliba is one of the players who will be able to leave the Premier League Giants next year as he is attracting interest from Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old has signed until 2027, so Arsenal may have been pressured to sell him soon if he doesn’t pen the extension in the coming months.
To avoid this, Romano explained that Arsenal’s “big mission” is to bring Saliba into a new contract.
“For Arsenal, another big mission is to extend William Saliba’s contract. Arsenal director Andrea Berta is really focused on this mission,” Romano told her YouTube channel.
“It doesn’t mean that Arsenal will do anything else this summer. We can see what will happen in the next two weeks, but it means their focus is on Saliba’s story.
“Arsenal has been in contact with his agent and thinks it is really important to extend Saliba’s contract, and it’s not just an extension of the contract.
“It’s not a regular extension. Arsenal wants to make it stronger and accelerate. They know that Saliba is one of the big top names on Real Madrid’s Florentino Perez’s list.
“It’s been like this for months. Arsenal wants to avoid Real Madrid’s attacks, not for this summer, but for 2026 or the future.”

Arsenal’s hopes to keep Saliba will improve if they win a major trophy this season, with manager Mikel Arteta acknowledging that they need to “seal that achievement.”
“I give my passion, my energy, my knowledge and everything I have to give to this club. I think we’ve changed this club from where it is today to where it is,” Arteta said.
“In terms of performance, looking at the last three years of the Premier League, we are the team that scored the most points, but we still need to win major titles.
“The connection with the fans has changed. Arsenal is undoubtedly one of Europe’s best teams at the moment, but we still need to seal that outcome.”
