Rory Culkin & Paris Jackson To Star In ‘Skinemax’ Comedy From Adam Sigal


EXCLUSIVE: Rory Culkin (Lords of Chaos) and Paris Jackson (Gringo) lead the cast of Skinemax, a comedy from writer-director Adam Sigal (Chariot), which has wrapped production in Budapest.

Examining the softcore porn industry of the early 1990s, the film follows Morgan Sands (Culkin), a failing indie film director, and his unlikely friendship with Jessie Hudson (Jackson), a popular adult film star.

Pic’s cast also includes Crispin Glover (Mr. K), Oliver Trevena (Plane), Will Peltz (Unfriended), Mark Boone Jr. (Memento), GaTa (Anyone But You), Jared P-Smith (FBI), Vladislav Lapidus (Dead Man’s Wire), Zac Coats (Crave), Sierra Nowak (Lucifer), and Maren Altman (If It Bleeds).

The film is produced by Jon Wroblewski and Christian Sosa of Roosevelt Film Lab, Trevena of Ollywood Media, and David Treatman of Grapevine Films. Exec producers include Dane and Elizabeth Fiori, Lars and Janice Letonoff, Michael Santos, Christian Sheedy, Dalas Lamberson, Maxwell Johnson of Grapevine, and Andre Champagne of Passcode.

A Gotham Award nominee, Culkin is known for turns in films like Jonas Åkerlaund’s Lords of Chaos, Kogonada’s Columbus, Scream 4, Mean Creek, Signs, and You Can Count on Me, among others. Recent TV credits include Black Mirror, Swarm, and Under the Banner of Heaven.

An actress and musician, Jackson’s been seen in films like Sex Appeal, The Space Between, and Gringo, along with Swarm, American Horror Stories, Star, and Scream: The TV Series.

Most recently, Sigal wrote and directed Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose, a dark comedy starring Simon Pegg, Minnie Driver and Christopher Lloyd. Prior to that, he directed Chariot, starring John Malkovich, Thomas Mann and Rosa Salazar, as well as the films Stakeout and When the Starlight Ends.
