If you’ve seen the slate on the original run for the first Nicktoons, you could have some of your own rugrats that you’ve been running around in the past.
However, there is no favorable demographic in regards to the nostalgia of Doug, Rugratt, and Len & Stimpy Show, which premiered on August 11, 1991, either.
At the time, the Simpsons were only two years ago and the scenery wasn’t yet scattered with destructive cartoons, so Nickelodeon had wide open spaces to fill with child-friendly animation programming.
“For me, Doug was a show that was so lacking for the kids. Really, since Charlie Brown,” Vanessa Coffey, co-founder of Nickelodeon Animation School, told Entertainment Weekly in 2016.
