EXCLUSIVE: M88 has signed rising British-Korean actor Seoyeon Jang, one of the stars of Beef Season 2, for representation.
Jang is a series regular in the new season of the buzzy Netflix series— part of an ensemble that includes Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, and Charles Melton. The show, created by Lee Sung Jin, won eight Emmys and three Golden Globes for its critically acclaimed first season, chronicling a road rage feud that escalates to crazy heights.
Jang will next appear opposite Daniel Dae Kim and Piper Perabo in Butterfly, the upcoming Amazon/3AD thriller series centered on a former U.S. intelligence operative whose past resurfaces with deadly consequences. The show, based on Arash Amel’s Boom! Studios graphic novel series, premieres on Prime Video on August 13.
Jang trained at ArtsEd in London, as both an actress and classical dancer, before relocating to Korea. She made her screen debut on Disney+’s Doctor Lawyer, and quickly built a slate of international credits, including Stock Struck, Love Is for Suckers (as series regular Park Hyun-So), and a recurring role in the legal drama Good Partner.
In addition to M88, Jang will continue to be repped by Conway van Gelder Grant.
