Ozempic is not a laughing matter for comedians. Handler revealed that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed medication without realizing what the drug was.
“I didn’t even know I was riding it,” she said in an episode of Cole Her Dad on January 25, 2023. “She said, ‘If you want to drop five pounds, this is a good thing.”
However, while she tried the drugs, Handler pointed out that he didn’t like how it made her feel.
“I came back from vacation and injected it,” she recalled. “I went to lunch with my girlfriend a few days later, and she said, ‘I’m really eating nothing. I feel so nauseous, I’m at Ozempic’ and I was like, ‘I’m nauseous too’. However, I had just returned from Spain and was jet lag. ”
Ultimately, the handler stopped using the drug because it was not medically necessary, and added that he gave his friend the remaining dose.
“I injected about 4-5 friends with Ozempic because I realized I didn’t want to use it because it was stupid,” she said. “It’s for heavy people. I have people who come to my house, and I’m like, ‘OK, I can see you in 1, I can see you in 2’.
