Liverpool boss Arne Slot has provided a clear update to the new signature Alexander Isak, which will be able to debut against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.
Isak has yet to make his Liverpool debut, following a record £125 million move from Newcastle United to Anfield.
Liverpool’s head coach slot was able to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League group stage on Wednesday evening, but decided to remove the striker from the team when building match fitness.
Slot provided an update to ISAK at a pre-match press conference on Tuesday, claiming there is one thing “we are certain.”
“He’s definitely a chance because he’s on the team. It’s a chance to play. Usually 99.9% say he’s certain, but you can be sure he won’t play 90 minutes, but he’s part of the team,” Slot revealed.

“It’s already a Champions League game I’m looking forward to, but if people are looking forward to his playing time, it means that could happen tomorrow as well.”
Potentially starting, “The only thing we’re sure is that he won’t play 90.”
Slot also jumped to the defense of Florian Wiltz in his struggle at the start of this campaign, but Liverpool has an additional £100 million players.
“I put (Wirtz’s slow start) on Newcastle, Arsenal and the teams I faced this weekend, but only admitted 14 goals last season,” Slot added.
