Arne Slott is reportedly “at risk” at Liverpool as the club’s leaders have set out two “demands” for their head coach following Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United.
Slott is in his second season at Liverpool and is currently under pressure for the first time.
The Dutchman’s debut season at Anfield was a huge success, leading the English giants to their 20th Premier League title.
Head coach Slott achieved this impressive feat by getting more out of his group of players than his predecessor, despite working with Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Despite this, FSG sanctioned a major overhaul of their squad in the summer as they look to strengthen their squad with a focus on the slot, announcing an investment of more than £400m and becoming arguably Europe’s biggest spending club.

The Reds twice broke British transfer records by signing Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, and also spent large amounts of money to bring in Hugo Ekitike, Jeremy Frimpong, Milos Kerkes and Giovanni Leoni.
Liverpool made ends meet by selling Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Harvey Elliott and Jarrell Quansah, but Trent Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid for a small fee before his contract expired.
It was expected that this would lead to Liverpool winning the Premier League consecutively and ushering in an era of supremacy, but at this point it seems unlikely.
The Reds seem unbalanced by making too many changes at once, and most of their key players are far from their best.
Liverpool rode their luck to a winning start this season, but have suffered four consecutive defeats against Crystal Palace, Galatasaray, Chelsea and Manchester United, and have been exposed to stronger opponents in recent games.

On Sunday, Liverpool suffered a rare home defeat against Man Utd, with goals from Brian Mbeumo and Harry Maguire exhausting the points they deserved to win.
The result leaves the Red Devils just two points behind Liverpool in the Premier League table, while Slott has moved up several places in the sack race.
Now, a report in Spanish outlet Fichajes, although perhaps premature, claims that Slott is “at risk on Liverpool’s bench” as Liverpool’s “crisis” continues.
It is claimed that “Slot’s decision has been called into question”, with the club pointing to the “waiver of Andy Robertson, changes to the system on the fly and the performance of his substitutes falling far short of expectations”.
As such, “the club has doubts about Slott’s ability to manage a transition with a team primed for immediate success rather than a rebuild” and has set out two “demands”.
The report adds:
“Liverpool’s board demands that Arne Slott’s performance stabilize before the continuation of the project is jeopardized. The big-money signing must start performing.
