Arne Slott has “failed” to make good use of the “first-class pieces” at his disposal, with Liverpool “crawling scared” and the manager in “serious doubts”.
The Reds manager was heavily criticized for playing with kids and conceding a Carabao Cup fourth round draw to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, making it six defeats in seven games for the reigning Premier League champions.
Aston Villa face Aston Villa on Saturday, followed by Real Madrid and Manchester City, so there will be no let-up for Liverpool as they look to turn back on a disastrous form.
And despite reports suggesting his job is not under immediate threat, Spanish media have incredibly covered the slot player, who is second in the Premier League sack race and faces a battle for his future.

SPORT claim Liverpool’s situation has been described as “untenable” and the Dutchman is “failing” after being given a “rude awakening” this season.
The report notes that £420m was slapped on new signings to make matters worse for Liverpool, putting Slott in a position that is “now deeply questionable”, and says: “If football were to spend money, it would be called a monopoly.”
“The blows that had happened so many times at Anfield started to hurt too much” and “a lot of people started looking towards the bench looking for the culprit”, that is, in the direction of the slot.
The report adds:
“Wirtz, Isak, Ekitike, Philpong, Kerkes… the list of players who arrived at Liverpool in the summer was exciting. But not a galaxy of players can win championships alone. Of course it’s important to compete with first-class production, but how do you use it? What matters is more. They have already said it, it’s not the weapon, it’s who uses it. And slots fail. Countless proof of this was the recent defeat against Crystal Palace in the Round of 16 of the Carabao Cup.
“Slot has managed to give continuity to Klopp’s ideas, improving even the players who did not achieve their best performance against the Germans, such as Grafenberg and Szoboschlei, to name a few. And this summer, Liverpool Looking at the signs, they were all contenders. But football is not just about spending money, so this season Liverpool have been crawling all over England with scary faces.

Slott said after the Palace defeat that he was pleased with the support Liverpool fans showed for his children and believed they would continue to support the team despite this disastrous result.
“When you’re doing so well, when you’re playing for Liverpool, when you’re managing Liverpool, you know there’s pressure and I don’t think that’s changed much after this defeat,” Slott explained.
“But if that were to happen, probably the biggest positive tonight was that we were down 2-0 and we didn’t really want to go for the goal, because we couldn’t go for the goal and the fans were behind the team and cheering us on.
“So I feel like the fans are going to be incredibly supportive on Saturday when our players show how much it means to them.”
