This is Friedle’s racially insensitive comment about Trina McGee
In January 2020, Trina McGee (Angela) talked about her rudeness she experienced at Boy Meat World, including “I’m called Aunt Jemima on Set.”
She then made a statement saying that Will said he “admittedly apologized in a three-page letter 22 years ago and a few days ago.
“We talked more about it and he admitted that he was really not educated in his early 20s to find out he was really mad at me,” she wrote on Instagram in April 2020.
Eventually, Trina and Will moved forward.
“Will apologized to me and I forgive him. Then I apologized to him for letting his voice go public. “That’s what my friends do.”
As recalled in Pod Meat World in 2022, he saw Trina leave her dressing room with a “big red headscarf.”
Thinking he was teasing her like the rest of the cast, he went on and decided he would “tease her red hat.”
“That’s as far as my stupid privileged mind has seen it,” Will said. “So just before I walked to my side, I walked by and went ‘Love your syrup’ and walked to the set thought boom, Zing.
Trina said Will Joke wasn’t OK and he “regretted,” pointing out that the moment changed his life.
“You can’t just throw things out because you think it’s funny,” he said. “You can hurt people.”
