Summer striker Rasmus Hoilund said, “After signing Summer Benjamin Sesco, I think Summer is better than signing Benjamin Sesco,” according to reports.
The Red Devils chose to sign a new striker to the midfielder in the final month of the transfer market. Sesco arrived from RB Leipzig on a contract worth £74 million.
Hojlund joined Boyhood Club Man Utd in 2023 for £72 million from Serie A Side Atalanta, but he didn’t hit the ground running at Old Thelford.
Denmark International managed a very respectable 10 Premier League goals in 30 appearances in his first season, but the 22-year-old managed only four goals in 31 games in the previous term.
Hojlund was linked to a move from Old Trafford all summer, and as he began to stay at Man Utd, he pushed back by leaving during the transfer window.
He told reporters during the preseason:

“Competition is fine for me. It makes me sharp. I’m ready. I feel sharp, so I’m welcome to everything that comes.”
Hojlund added:
“You shouldn’t say I shouldn’t play because I want to play all the games. But obviously, it could have been done with some help, especially in the beginning, in terms of sharing a little bit of the game.”
Hojlund continued to sue his case by staying at Man Utd. “I’m still very young. People forget about it. I’m 22. Not all strikers have 100 goals at that age.
“But I’ve learned a lot. I think you can see it in my game. I’m starting to grow and start to get better at the basics.
“Last season was tough for all of us. I should have done better, everyone knows.
“But it’s also about the team. We’ll be better now. We’re going to progress the right way and look forward to what’s coming.”

Napoli eventually included Danish strikers staying until the end of the season, including a purchase option for Mann UTD to 44 million euros and a purchase option for 44 million euros if the Serie A side qualifies for the Champions League.
And now, Athletic has revealed that one of the reasons he was trying to stay and fight for his place was his belief that he is better than the new signing Sesco.
The Athletic wrote: He showed that despite Sesco’s arrival, he could suspend his thoughts about his departure to Amorim.
The potential end of his time at Old Trafford was a sad time for Hozilund, the report added: This episode shows how Ratcliffe, Belada, Wilcox and Amorim operate without emotion.
