Former Tottenham Scout Brian King tells the Spurs he “takes” a former Premier League star for £410,000 a week as another report revealed his desire to return to Europe.
In the first five games of the league season, Tottenham won three and drew one. They also made progress after the first League Cup fixture, winning the Champions League campaign.
Things are looking for the Spurs, but new boss Thomas Frank hopes his team remains competitive throughout the season, with a January signature signing his sights.
They are linked to former wolf midfielder Reuben Neves, who has been trading with Saudi Arabia’s professional league side since 2023, and former Scout King feels Tottenham definitely should pursue.
He told Tottenham News:
“He did very well in the Premier League when he played here before, and he was a name that was always on the front line of wolves.
“It’s stupid that the Spurs don’t do that to get players of that quality at such a price. They certainly have to move to take him.”
Certainly, the 28-year-old Neves still has a lot to do, and according to a Tbrfootball report, he wants to return to Europe as he feels he is in Prime.

The Spurs, Newcastle and Manchester United reportedly spoke about Neves over the summer and remained informed.
Insider Graeme Bailey said:
“But it’s not surprising that he will return to England. His return to Portugal will be seen as strong interest in Spain and Italy as well. He will not have enough options.
“Neves is believed to be not looking for similar wages given his significant income during his stay in Saudi Arabia. He is in a good position to choose the best club for him. This move is not about finances.”
Whether the Spurs or the other English side have won Neves, he has not signed a deal with Al Hilal at the end of the campaign, so a good proposal could see him landing everywhere.
