Manchester United and Newcastle are “confined in battle” for the Bayern Munich hijacking to replace Benjamin Sesco.
After United lost to Chelsea in a Liam Dellup race early in the window, Hugo Ekitique chose Liverpool over Newcastle before turning Alexander Isaac’s head, both clubs still want to land a new No. 9.
Newcastle ran early in the race to sign Sesco, but now Man Wood has moved to a “open formal speech” today to get the deal done.
Transfer expert Ben Jacobs wrote in X: Driven by Christopher Bibel. Reuben Amorim proposed Ollie Watkins. #nufc will remain in the race. Both expect prices to drop to 70 million euros.
TBR Football claimed on Wednesday that “offer has been submitted” for Sesko from both Man Utd and Newcastle.
“Personal terminology is not an issue for either club, but consultations were based on projects offered in the northwest and northeast,” Bailey said.
“Now there is a decision for Sesko, but it is believed that he will confirm his decision before the weekend. It is possible that he has decided to stay in Germany for another season, but that is now considered unlikely.
“RB Leipzig has given permission to both clubs to hold consultations with Sesco that they have accepted, as long as the conditions are met.”

Reports suggest that Sesco is leaning towards moving to Old Trafford, but in any case, both Magpies and Red Devils are considering alternatives, with the Sun claiming Stuttgart’s Nick Urtemaid emerging as their option.
“United and Newcastle are trapped in another forested transfer game as the next strikers,” the report alleges.
The 23-year-old looked ready for Bayern Munich after agreeing to terms with the Bundesliga champion, as reported by Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg more than a month ago.
He writes to X: “Exclusive | FC Bayern and Nick #Woltemade have reached a full-length agreement on a summer transfer! 23 y/o versatile striker wants to join Bayern immediately.
For long-term contracts until 2030, pay terms have already been agreed on the last day. Bayern’s Board of Supervisors has already approved the transaction.
“There are no negotiations between the clubs yet. The VFB contract will remain in effect until 2028 and there will be no release clauses. The VFB wants to protect him.”
Bayern is said to have provided Woltemade 40 million euros (£34 million), but Stuttgart wants 65 million euros (£55 million) on his precious assets, and Sun will appear in the summer of “boost” after spending £56 million after signing Luis Diaz from Liverpool to Bayern “withdraw from the race.”
