Reports suggest that winter Manchester United star Cobby Mine could “revive” under two conditions.
Mainoo has had a major fall from bounty over the past year as he slipped into the hierarchy at Old Trafford.
England International’s career at Man UTD has gotten off to a great start as he enjoyed a great breakout season in 2023/24.
However, injuries, loss of form and the appointment of Reuben Amorim have had a negative impact on Mine, who may not fit into the head coach’s priority system.
Mainoo was just a small part of Man Utd under Amorim and was reported in January that he was willing to sanction his exit as the club’s chief was trying to raise funds through pure profit transfers.

The talented midfielder has attracted interest from Chelsea and several European clubs in recent months, revealing that he requested loans before the summer transfer period ended.
The request came after Mainoo was an alternative that Man UTD was not used to open two Premier League games this season.
Nevertheless, Man UTD refused to leave the academy products as they had limited mid-range options and didn’t have much time to secure replacements.
Earlier this month, Fabrizio Romano revealed that co-owner Ir Jim Ratcliffe was “involved” in the decision regarding Mine’s future.
“Cobby asked me to go on loan. He never asked me to go permanently,” Romano said.
“It was never the case for Man United or Cobby Mineau, but he wanted to go on loan, and it was a priority for Cobby Mineau to go on loan.
“Man Utd said no, they internally involved Ir Jim Ratcliffe involved and not selling Cobby Mine.
“This was a decision with all the people involved, CEOs, coaches and owners. “We can’t let Kobbie Mainoo go.

Now, an ESPN report claims that Mainoo “began to be concerned about his future in January.”
And United blocked his exit in the summer, but it is claimed that the deal could “revive” on two terms in January.
The report explains:
“A source close to Mainoo has rejected the suggestion he asked to leave forever, claiming that he was only asking for a temporary move that would help him return his way back to Tuchel’s English thinking.
“The loan move to Naples has been mapped and United said no, but if Mainoo’s situation changes, it could potentially make a comeback in January. United will need a replacement, which is always difficult to do during the season.”
