Milan (AP) – The last Emporio Armani collection shaped by the late Giorgio Armani himself, previewed at Thursday’s Milan Fashion Week at the theater, where more than 15,000 people last paid their respects a few weeks ago.
Armani’s presence felt in the masculine female and female touch and the distinctive elegant and relaxed tailoring. Jacket kimono, raffia crocheted cap, flat walking sandals, soft leather booties.
The theatre itself was appointed with architectural details that reflected Armani’s precise tailoring, but the soft fabric hung from the ceiling reminded the designers of their mastery of fluidity.
According to the show notes, the 2026 women’s clothing collection entitled “Litoni” or “Returns” was intended to catch the moments after the holidays.
The Armani model made the final walkthrough and applauded in honor when the fashion crowd responded kindly. After the finale, everyone turned their eyes towards the doorway where Mr. Armani made his final bow. It remained lit by the sky as the fashion crowd continued to applaud in gratitude.
One of the most recognizable names and faces in a global way, Armani passed away on September 4th at the age of 91. Before his death, he showed that the creative hands would be handed over to his nie Silvana Armani and longtime menswear collaborator Leo del Coco for women’s clothing.
The fashion house he founded in 1975 marks the 50th anniversary of this year’s signature Giorgio Armani Line. For the final farewell, the Giorgio Armani show will be held on Sunday at the Brera Art Gallery. Among over 120 clothing, Armani has been handpicked for an exhibition at the museum, which will be held until January 11th.
