Reports say Manchester United have failed “crazy attempts” in the final two days of their summer transfer period.
Man Utd was very active during his transfer period this summer. They focused on overhauling the offense when they signed Benjamin Sesco, Brian Mbeumo and Mass Cunha, but they also signed Senne Ranmens their new No. 1 goalkeeper.
Red Devils attempted to offload Deadwood as Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho moved elsewhere.
Lammens was his last summer signature, but linked it with other potential signatures as it was reported that the next priority was to sign a central midfielder.
Nevertheless, a new report from Foot Mercato claims that Man Utd made a “crazy attempt” to sign Lyon’s Winger Malick Fofana in the 11th hour.

The 20-year-old Fofana has been deeply affiliated with several Premier League clubs in recent months and reports that she is riding Liverpool’s radar as a long-term alternative to Mohamed Sarah.
Fofana scored five goals and four assists in Lyon’s 29 league UN appearance last season, claiming that Man Utd would “take” him ahead of Liverpool and others.
The report claims that in response to Garnacho’s exit and cunha’s injuries, he “moved for the fofana in the ‘last two days of the window’.
Fofana reportedly “snatched” to join Man Utd, but for one reason, no deals were made.

The report explains:
“Under the impulse of Jorge Mendes, who played the intermediary between Manchester United and the player’s father, the Red Devils tested their luck.
“Belgian International was seduced by the idea of joining MU, but the English Club waited for a signal from the player’s father to begin hostilities. A signal that never sealed the future of Fofana between Rhone and Saune.
Interestingly, Kevin De Bruin likened Fofana to one of his former male city teammates.
“When you look at how modern football is played, there’s a situation for more people,” De Bruyne said.
“If you have players who can dribble past opponents or create space for others, that’s good.
“It’s all good for us that there’s another young man like Malick joining us. Are you the Jeremy Doc type? Yes, they’re both very small and fast.
“Of course, Jeremy was with us for five or six years, and he also plays for Manchester City.
