Tottenham Hotspur have “rushed into the race” to sign the Rangers star, fending off competition from multiple teams, according to reports.
Under manager Thomas Frank, Spurs have made a strong start to the season and have emerged as favorites to qualify for the Champions League.
New signings Mohamed Kudus, Joao Parinha and Xavi Simons have had a positive impact as Tottenham move to third place in the Premier League after winning four of their opening seven games.
Frank has steadied the ship since taking over from Ange Postecoglou, and further investment through potential acquisitions could lead to further growth in the coming months.
According to reports, Spurs are already eyeing the transfer window ahead of the winter market, with fellow Team Talk journalist Fraser Fletcher claiming that Spurs are one of the “interested” clubs planning a move for Rangers star Nico Raskin.

Despite a disastrous start to the season for Rangers, Raskin was undoubtedly a standout performer, with the versatile center midfielder contributing five goals in 14 appearances.
The talented 24-year-old has broken into Belgium’s first team and played the full 90 minutes in each game during the international break.
Wolves, Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Burnley are also said to be monitoring Ruskin, but Tottenham’s interest complicates things for those clubs as Rangers want a “record-breaking deal”.
Raskin’s contract next year is reportedly worth “between £20m and £25m”, which would exceed Rangers’ current record sale price of Calvin Bassey to Ajax for £19.6m in 2022.

Regarding Mr Ruskin’s position on withdrawal, the report claims:
“We understand that Ruskin was willing to leave Ibrox in the summer to try himself at a new club. He was well aware of his signing, particularly the interest from Palace.
However, as there was no concrete offer, Raskin ended up staying with Rangers. However, things could change in 2026. ”
Spurs are also said to be considering a move for River Plate defender Lautaro Rivero, who has attracted interest from La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
The interest from Tottenham is said to be a “bombshell” for River Plate, with journalist Hernan Castillo claiming the club are aware they could receive “an offer they cannot refuse at any time”.
Spanish journalist Pascual Luis Arnal added: “Atlético Madrid are one of the European teams keeping an eye on Lautaro Rivero. Tottenham are also interested.”
